Lesson Link™ - Diagram
Lesson Link™ is an innovative model of professional development created by Sierra Educational Consulting and implemented in the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. Lesson Link™ focuses on having small teams of teachers (3-4 teachers per team) meet together to co-plan a lesson based on student needs/data, observe each other teach the lesson, debrief and revise the lesson after each observation. This model differs considerably from traditional professional development structures in which teachers attend a "one-time, one-stop" workshop. Teachers who participate in Lesson Link™ receive ongoing support in implementing new practices. The ultimate aim of Lesson Link™ is to deeply embed teacher learning in classroom practice.
